Pathway to Your Potential

PATHWAY TO YOUR
POTENTIAL

is about instilling confidence to take action.

DR JESS MURPHY IS AVAILABLE TO SPEAK WITH YOU ABOUT THE PATHWAY TO YOUR POTENTIAL PROGRAM AND HOW IT CAN BRING POSITIVE CHANGE TO YOUR ORGANISATION BY EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION AND PUT THEMSELVES FORWARD FOR EXECUTIVE ROLES AND DIRECTORSHIPS WITH CONFIDENCE.
The Pathway to Your Potential program has been developed by Dr Jess Murphy from a strong academic, commercial and personal interest.
Dr Murphy undertook her doctorate in the field of business leadership through AGSL and she is now an Alliance Partner. Her ongoing research focus is on disrupting traditional corporate structures. She has twenty years experience in corporate Australia, across the financial services, retail and property sectors, and has developed a globally recognised in-house program to prepare people for board directorships as well as a  money and

life skills program. She is excited about working with organisations that invest in their people to build their confidence and expand their opportunities. The outcomes will not only be professionally and personally rewarding for participants, but will also transform organisational structures and address the challenges and opportunities being faced by corporate Australia now and into the future.

PATHWAY TO YOUR POTENTIAL IS AN INTERACTIVE SERIES OF WORKSHOPS CREATED TO SUPPORT AN ORGANISATION’S BROADER TALENT, LEADERSHIP AND DIVERSITY INITIATIVES. IT IS DESIGNED TO EMPOWER CAPABLE PEOPLE WITH THE CONFIDENCE TO TAKE ACTION AND APPLY FOR SENIOR LEADERSHIP AND EXECUTIVE ROLES OR TO INCREASE THEIR BOARD PORTFOLIO.

Addressing the elements of personal impact, networking, career strategy, communication, and an insight into the world of executives and board management, the program acknowledges that many people have the skills and knowledge to succeed in board positions and senior leadership roles, but are often held back by their own attitudes, beliefs and self-doubt about their ‘readiness’ and the value of the contribution they can make.

The underlying thread through the five elements hones in on the elusive factor of confidence. The program builds  outer confidence through fine-tuning relevant knowledge, insight and skills, and grows inner confidence through cognitive behavioural techniques and hands-on skills development.

The drive to create Pathway to Your Potential and the material presented within it, is grounded in evidence-based research from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.

Pathway to Your Potential is designed to ensure capable people in your organisation take action and apply for the executive roles and directorships they are qualified for, thus embedding a positive cultural shift within your organisation and the broader community.

The program will change attitudes and behaviours immediately and over the long-term. To provide reportable outcomes of individual and organisational transformation, metrics and bench-marking are conducted over a series of timeframes.

- Confidence is linked to doing and can be learned. It involves both emotion and cognition and is as much about our knowledge of a specific task as the way we assess ourselves to be capable of doing that task reference; and

- Neuroplasticity and cognitive therapy are at the cutting edge of research showing how it is possible to change the wiring in our brains and our thought and behavioural patterns to create more confidence reference.

Delivery
PATHWAY TO YOUR POTENTIAL IS DELIVERED OVER THREE TO SIX MONTHS, ON A SET OF CONTACT DATES TAILORED TO YOUR ORGANISATION.

Acknowledging that some participants may have established strengths in one or more of the Pathway to Your Potential elements, it is possible to create a bespoke program from the elements of your choice.

The delivery of Pathway to Your Potential incorporates metrics and benchmarking, with a survey to be submitted by participants before they commence the program, and another survey at its conclusion. There will be three-month, six-month and 12-month follow-up surveys that incorporate additional learning development.

Further details of the five elements are provided after the delivery schedule shown below.

The program is made up of FIVE ELEMENTS that are delivered according to the schedule shown below:

Each element involves preparatory work so participants are able to maximise face-to-face learning time, and follow-up work to deepen knowledge and facilitate the program’s objectives of immediate to long-term behavioural and attitudinal change. This preparatory and follow-up work is delivered to participants by email and can be completed at any time before a set deadline.
