Dr Macfie is a Director of cqm consulting in Sydney, specialising in the international delivery of tailored services in leadership development, executive coaching, team diagnostics and performance enhancement. He is a consultant with advanced accreditation in the Symlog Consulting Group, San Diego, California, was previously the Head of the Executive Development division of Coutts Consulting Group in London and led a High Performance Leadership Course for Cranfield University in the UK.

While in London, Dr Macfie led a team of experienced executive coaches, delivering one-to-one coaching to senior executives and heading top-team development initiatives in a wide range of national and international organisations. He also managed the delivery of large coaching programs to identify future leaders in two financial institutions, a manufacturing company and an information technology organisation.

In Australia, Dr Macfie led a coaching team charged with the development of flexible leadership capabilities in the senior executive team of a major bank and the simultaneous introduction of a coaching culture throughout the organisation. As a practitioner Senior Fellow of AGSL, he provides consulting services in the integration and delivery of customised leadership development programs for senior and top executives.

Dr Macfie’s areas of specialty include international top-team coaching, leadership of cross-organisation coaching to support change initiatives and leadership development in general. Previous clients include Australian Super, Australian Taxation Office, Bain and Company, BHP Billiton, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Bank of Scotland, Cabinet Office London, International Red Cross, H. M.
